"Continued Absentmindedness"

I think Marcos was starting to worry that I was losing my mind, so I felt quite validated when I read that "continued absentmindedness" was right on track for the symptomology of pregnancy at 30 weeks.

For him, it explains all of the stamps I placed on the wrong corner of the envelopes when we sent out cards at Christmas time. It explains the episode last week when I put frozen chicken out to thaw on the counter, and promptly forgot it existed, neatly cleaning around it for three days until Marcos asked how long the chicken had been sitting out. And it explains why, at our super duper 3-D IMAX double date to Avatar on Friday night with Aline and Dwight, I thought a photo of us in the theater with no flash would be a great idea.

With photography skills like mine, watch out local photographers...

Metts,

I actually did laugh out loud at this one!

Try being preggers and in school... It took everything in me to focus enough to graduate from college when I was expecting Maika! Being pregnant is a funny thing - you think all these strange experiences are unique to only you and then you pick up a book and find out it's more common than not! You hear stories and think, "not me, that won't happen" and sure enough!
p.s. My favorite pregnancy book is "Your pregnancy week by week". I've read it all four times... it just gives you the full break down of what's happening inside each week and what to expect on the outside - some other books gave too many worse-case scenarios for me. It's not too late, I recommend it!
p.p.s. I think that's my favorite photo on your blog yet!

We call it 'baby brain' here in Australia. And I hate to say it, but my mother friends tell me it stays for awhile after birth!
What fun things to look back on and tell Giovanna!

So funny! And so true! I'm so glad that medicine has validated this fact because it made me feel so much better about losing my mind. p.s. don't expect it to come back quickly....once mom brain sets in.... lets just say there will be many more black pictures.

Oh, this post made me laugh out loud. The sad thing is ... it hasn't left yet. I'm amazed at how absent minded I still am and I haven't been pregnant for over a year! I blame it on lack of sleep ... ;)
